I made an unscheduled stop in Wolf Creek on my way to Cave Junction, I have had to upload videos to a 3rd party because this blog is not allowing me to add them.
Margie and I loved to travel, our favorite thing to do was get lost and find our way home, you see the world totally different when you have no agenda.
We were on our way to Mount Shasta to spend the weekend at a small resort community located at the base of the mountain.
Before we got married Margie and I had good times and bad times but we always communicated our way through anything because we believed in the fact we are not the problem so we could discuss it without getting caught up in the drama and find out what was really going on.
This was a pivotal time for us because we had just gotten back together after being separated for awhile and I was giving us the place to talk and relax away from all the trials of the wold, the outcome of this journey was also the reason I proposed to her.
On our way to Shasta we stopped at Wolf Creek for gas and just happened to arrive on the day of their cities annual BBQ so we enjoyed Buffalo steak and some nice outdoor music before we headed on down to mount Shasta.
I stopped there on my journey just to look at the place and asked the hotel clerk about possibly spreading her ashes outside, the clerk said it was alright so I looked for a place that was appropriate and shot my first video which I will upload later, this was my first stop for Margie and my first of many for myself...
Travel journal tribute to my wife who I lost 10/31/10. I am driving across the Untied States and spreading a little of her ashes in all the places we never visited.

Day One

I leave home with trepidation but I feel Margie's presence around me and go knowing all will be as it should.
There are those of you that may follow this who do not know my wife except by a post I have written, in each new post I will throw in a small sentence or two about her, in this way you can learn a little about the woman I called the rose of my life.
I thank all of you who supported me in my choice to honor my wife this way and I am privileged to take all of you along, together we will see great wonders, meet interesting folk and discover untold mystery so buckle up my friends and enjoy the ride...

Rose of Memory

"If you made it this far would you be willing to go a little further"
This blog is a tribute to my late wife Margie Casady she was a fighter to the end but lost her battle on October 31st 2010 from an arterial stroke. I had her for 3 days in the hospital but had to let her go because to see her suffer was beyond reason and justice.
I spread most her ashes on July 9th 2011 and thought of many ways to honor her but how could I capture the wonder and beauty of such an amazing women, I decided to fill in the gap of our life by taking a journey across the Untied States with her remaining ashes and visit all the places we never had the opportunity to go and then leave some of her magic there.
I am leaving on August 1st and will travel from the west coast to the east coast with no real itinerary just a plan and a dream, because that is way we lived, just go with the flow, I will be updating this page and also my Facebook.
This is my first blog and I felt it only appropriate to use this as a vehicle to share our journey, I created this page for those of you who do not have Facebook.
I do this not only for myself but for her family and friends who this amazing women touched and for who her memories will never die...
